Available now at the Japanese Guitar Company is an incredible, highly coveted mid-2000s 1972 reissue Stratocaster with a factory fully-scalloped maple fingerboard. This model reproduces the heavy neoclassical appointments popularized by the legendary guitar hero Yngwie Malmsteen, combining iconic 1970s CBS-era aesthetics with extreme high-performance playing specifications.

The build details perfectly nail the historic era, featuring a comfortable basswood body paired with a maple neck sporting the distinctive large headstock, modern black lettering script, a bullet truss rod adjusting nut, and a micro-tilt adjustable three-bolt neck plate layout. The entire maple fingerboard is scalloped from the factory to deliver effortless note articulation, immense vibrato depth, and frictionless fast-playing capability. For electronics, it comes equipped with high-performance DiMarzio hum-canceling stacked single-coils in the neck and bridge positions paired with a vintage-voiced middle pickup, offering a massive, focused voice that holds absolute note definition under blistering high-gain distortion without turning muddy.

This guitar is in very good overall condition and has been thoroughly serviced in our shop warehouse, including a complete teardown inspection, full cleaning, fretboard conditioning, and a professional setup. The instrument exhibits some honest cosmetic playwear from careful use over the past two decades, including some scattered dings, surface scratches, and light handling marks on the glossy Vintage White finish. The original vintage-style slender frets are in fantastic shape with an 8.9 out of 10 wear rating, showing plenty of life left on the wire for decades of intense play.
