Finished in a distinctive factory industrial gray metallic, this classic lap steel showcases the iconic raised disc badge emblem on the headstock and a wonderfully stylized asymmetrical body silhouette. The proprietary vintage single-coil pickup delivers an incredibly punchy, warm, and clear signal with that authentic low-noise performance perfect for slide blues, ambient tracking, or country leads.

The instrument shows honest, character-building cosmetic wear that completely tells its history, including scattered edge scuffs, minor finish chips, and light finish flaking along the edges of the painted fretboard. The rear plate of the three-on-a-side tuning machines displays some expected surface corrosion, but the gears themselves remain remarkably steady and positive. The single rotary master volume control knob moves smoothly across its range, delivering a robust output signal directly through the original side-mounted quarter-inch input jack assembly.

Every vintage piece we source is treated with meticulous care inside our professional Indiana workshop. We have thoroughly detailed the body, cleaned the electronic connection points for noise-free signal delivery, precision lubricated the mechanical tuning gears, and installed a brand-new set of premium lap steel strings optimized for stable tuning. This plug-and-play vintage import bypasses all stressful international shipping risks, hidden import processing metrics, or port delays, arriving straight to your studio door fully vetted and ready to perform.

PA-0

https://japaneseguitarcompany.com/products/teisco-1961-eg-r-6-string-electric-lap-steel-gray-metallic
