1970s Morris W-25 Vintage MIJ Rosewood Dreadnought Acoustic w/ Gig Bag

A very clean 1970s Morris W-25, made in Japan and featuring classic dreadnought construction with a spruce top and rosewood back and sides.

Morris was producing some excellent acoustics during Japan’s 1970s guitar boom, and the W-series offered traditional styling and solid Japanese craftsmanship at an accessible price point. The W-25 was originally positioned at ¥25,000 and featured a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, nato neck, rosewood fingerboard and rosewood bridge.

The back on this example is especially attractive, with a deep rosewood color and decorative center strip.

This guitar has just been cleaned, restrung and set up with nice action and is playing very well.

Overall condition is Excellent, especially for a guitar approaching 50 years old. There is only light cosmetic wear from normal use, and the top, back, sides and neck all present extremely well.

The frets show minimal wear and have plenty of life remaining.

The original interior label is intact and identifies the guitar as a Morris W-25, Made in Japan, with the G. Yamada inspection signature.

Includes a nice padded gig bag.

A great choice for someone looking for a vintage Japanese dreadnought that has already been cleaned up, set up and is ready to play.
