Suzuki Ran Type II Electric Taishogoto Red 1995

This classic Japanese acoustic-electric stringed instrument brings wonderful performance flexibility straight to our localized Huntington inventory. Finished in a vivid candy apple red over its sleek casing, this Ran Type II soprano model is configured with a compact twenty-inch vibrating string length scale running across a twenty-seven key typewriter-style lever assembly. The key mechanism depresses evenly and returns smoothly across all registers, offering a fast, expressive touch when running the internal electronics straight into an amplifier or recording board.

The instrument is in beautiful overall cosmetic condition, showcasing a clean front presentation with only a few faint surface pick swirls on the black faceplate and minor handling marks on the wood body. It is currently fully playable and strung up with a solid four-string configuration over the bridge blocks. On the reverse side of the wood chassis, there are two small square areas of residual adhesive film where a previous owner had placed a small pad, which is entirely hidden during normal tabletop play and does not affect the structural integrity or beautiful voice of the piece.

Every curated piece in our inventory goes through an exhaustive mechanical evaluation and technical optimization process inside our Indiana workshop. We have completely serviced the onboard electronics—including the pitch toggle, tone rotary, and master volume dials—for noise-free operation, precision lubricated the mechanical tuning pegs, and cleaned the keybed array. Choosing this stateside instrument completely insulates you from unpredictable transit times, overseas customs delays, or hidden import processing metrics, arriving fully benched and ready to play.
