A very nice vintage Yamaha G-80 classical guitar, made in Japan by Nippon Gakki during the 1970s.

These older Japanese-made Yamaha classical guitars have earned a strong reputation for their build quality, comfortable feel and warm, balanced tone. The G-80 was one of Yamaha’s traditional nylon-string models from this period, with a spruce top, nato back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and rosewood bridge. Documented G-80 examples also use a 19-fret fingerboard and traditional slotted classical headstock.

This guitar has just been cleaned, restrung and set up and is playing very well.

Overall condition is Very Good. There are scattered scratches, marks and normal cosmetic wear from age and use, particularly across the top and back, but no major cosmetic issue stands out in the photos.

The frets show almost no wear and have plenty of life remaining.

The original interior label is intact and clearly identifies the guitar as a Yamaha No. G-80 manufactured by Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd.

Includes a hard case.

A great option for someone looking for an older Japanese-made classical that has already been cleaned up, restrung and set up and is ready to play.
