1980 Greco Super Sound Fretless Bass MIJ 3-Tone Sunburst

Very cool 1980 Greco Super Sound Fretless Bass made in Japan. These early Fujigen-built Greco basses have developed an excellent reputation for their quality, and this fretless model has a warm, smooth tone with the classic feel and look of a vintage Jazz-style bass. The neck is comfortable, the fretless fingerboard is in nice shape, and it plays great after a fresh setup.

Just cleaned, restrung, and professionally set up here at Japanese Guitar Company. Currently playing great with comfortable, low action up and down the neck.

This bass is missing its original pickguard, giving it a unique stripped-down appearance while leaving the controls and pickups fully accessible. Cosmetically, it shows plenty of normal vintage player wear including scratches, dings, finish chips, oxidation, and general aging throughout, but nothing that affects the functionality or playability.

The original Greco single-coil pickups deliver the classic articulate Jazz Bass-style sound with excellent clarity and plenty of growl. A great choice for anyone looking for an affordable vintage Japanese fretless bass with tons of character.
