2016 Fender Japan Exclusive Classic '60s Tele Custom 3TS w/ Deluxe Case

Beautiful 2016 Fender Japan Exclusive Classic '60s Telecaster Custom in 3-Tone Sunburst.

This Japanese-market model is essentially Fender's mid-2010s successor to the earlier TL62B-style Custom Telecaster, with the classic double-bound alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard associated with a '60s Custom Tele. The factory specification also features a 7.25" fingerboard radius, 21 vintage-style frets and 25.5" scale length.

Serial number: JD16017624, dating it to 2016. Other documented examples carrying JD16 serial numbers are likewise identified as 2016 production.

This guitar has just been cleaned, restrung and set up and is playing great.

The original vintage-style three-saddle bridge has been replaced with an upgraded vintage-style bridge featuring six individual brass barrel saddles. This retains the traditional Tele bridge design while allowing much finer individual intonation adjustment for each string.

Overall the guitar is in excellent condition with only minor cosmetic wear.

There is one cosmetic issue worth noting: at the very end of the fingerboard on the treble side, where the neck meets the body, a small piece of the rosewood has chipped away. It is clearly visible in the photos. It does not affect playability or the structural integrity of the neck, but we want to make sure it is clearly disclosed.

The frets show very little wear and I would rate them approximately 9.6/10.

A very clean example of the Japan Exclusive '60s Tele Custom, with the desirable double-bound 3-Tone Sunburst body and a practical bridge upgrade.
