2017 Fender Japan Hybrid ’50s Stratocaster US Vintage Pickups - Blonde

For sale is a 2017 Fender Made in Japan Hybrid ’50s Stratocaster in US Blonde.

This is one of Fender Japan’s first-generation Hybrid models, combining classic ’50s Strat styling with some very useful modern features. The neck heel is stamped H50ST, identifying it as the Hybrid ’50s Stratocaster, and serial number JD17039745 dates it to 2017.

Factory specifications include an alder body, one-piece maple neck, approximately 9.84" / 250mm fingerboard radius, medium-jumbo frets, vintage-style locking tuners, two-point synchronized tremolo and Fender USA Vintage single-coil pickups.

The US Blonde finish is translucent, allowing the grain of the alder body to show through nicely. The guitar is overall in excellent condition, showing only light cosmetic/play wear.

The frets show very little wear and have been rated approximately 8.9/10, with plenty of life remaining.

The guitar has been opened and inspected. The HSH body routing visible beneath the pickguard is factory and is normal for this model; the guitar itself was configured SSS. The pickups appear consistent with the Fender USA Vintage pickups originally specified for the Hybrid ’50s series. There appears to have been some work to the electronics, and the rear tremolo cover has been replaced.

It has just been cleaned, restrung and set up with good playable action. Everything functions properly and it sounds excellent.
