Made in Japan Fender JG66-85 Jaguar '62 Vintage Reissue, finished in Candy Apple Red with a matching headstock. Serial number O050023 dates this example to approximately 1993-1994.

The JG66-85 was Fender Japan's take on the early-'60s Jaguar, pairing the classic offset design with a 24" scale maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, vintage-spec 7.25" radius, dual Jaguar single-coil pickups and the traditional rhythm and lead circuits. The Candy Apple Red finish with matching headstock is an especially sharp combination and gives this one a great vintage Fender Japan look.

Overall, this guitar is in good condition for its age and has clearly been played over the years. There are numerous dings, scratches and small areas of finish chipping throughout the body, including some more noticeable chips along the edges and top. We've photographed the more significant areas of wear closely so there are no surprises. Despite the cosmetic wear, the Candy Apple Red metallic finish still presents beautifully and the guitar remains a very nice example overall.

The neck and rosewood fingerboard are in good shape, and the frets show minimal wear with plenty of life remaining.

It has just been cleaned, restrung and set up and is playing well. The electronics and traditional Jaguar switching are functioning properly.

A great example of Fender Japan's vintage-style offset guitars, with the combination of the '62 reissue specifications, Candy Apple Red finish and matching headstock making this one particularly cool.
