Available now at the Japanese Guitar Company is a highly collectible 1997 Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Stratocaster in a classic Vintage White finish. Produced during the revered golden era of signature manufacturing, the ST-YJM model delivers an authentic, high-performance neoclassical blueprint optimized for blazing fretboard speed and fluid note tracking.
The instrument is built around a select body paired with a maple neck featuring a bold large 70s style headstock, bullet truss rod nut, and a micro-tilt adjustable three-bolt neck plate. The maple fingerboard features a deep factory-carved progressive scallop layout across the entire board, allowing for effortless string bending, light-touch fingering, and massive vibrato depth. For electronics, it retains its original factory pickup configuration, pairing high-output DiMarzio hum-canceling stacked single-coils in the neck and bridge slots with a standard factory vintage single-coil pickup in the center, providing a super focused tone that holds crisp note definition under intense gain.
The hardware has been upgraded with a set of premium Planet Waves auto-trim locking tuners on the headstock for rock-solid tuning stability and fast string changes. Please note the original plastic tremolo cavity cover plate on the back of the body is missing, and a tremolo arm is not included.
This guitar is in very good player's condition and has just completed a thorough checkout in our shop, including a deep clean, fresh strings, and a complete professional setup. The Vintage White finish has mellowed into a gorgeous, creamy yellow patina, showing honest cosmetic signs of use including light dings, surface scratches, and a few small finish chips on the body edges from active play over the past nearly three decades. The original jumbo frets are in spectacular condition, rating at a healthy 9.7 out of 10 with virtually no visible wear on the wire.
Ships securely in a premium, heavy-duty padded gig bag with plenty of integrated storage pockets. Please feel free to message us directly with any questions or specific setup requests.
