Fender Japan Jazz Bass 62 Reissue PJ Pickups - Badass Bridge - Translucent Blue - Matching Headstock

Very cool and uncommon Fender Japan JB62PJ finished in Transparent Blue with a matching headstock, dark rosewood fingerboard, and aged white pearloid pickguard.

Made in Japan during the U-serial period, approximately 2010–2012, this is not a standard JB62 Jazz Bass. The factory PJ pickup configuration combines a traditional Jazz Bass bridge pickup with a split Precision-style neck pickup, giving the bass a wider range of tones while retaining the familiar Jazz Bass body shape and individual pickup volume controls.

The transparent blue finish allows the natural wood grain to remain visible throughout the body and matching headstock. Combined with the cream pearloid pickguard and gold Fender headstock logo, it gives the bass a distinctive higher-end appearance that stands apart from the more common solid-color Fender Japan models.

This bass has also been upgraded with a genuine Badass Bass II high-mass bridge, a desirable upgrade that provides a substantial and solid feel while adding some extra adjustability and sustain.

Just cleaned, restrung, and professionally set up here at Japanese Guitar Company. It is currently playing great with comfortable action and an easy feel up and down the neck.

Overall, the bass is in very good condition with normal cosmetic wear from previous use. There are scattered small dings, scratches, finish marks, and other light signs of handling throughout. One small finish ding on the front of the body is shown closely in the photos. Nothing affects the structure, functionality, or playability of the bass.

The frets show almost no visible wear, which is especially impressive for a bass of this age. The electronics have been tested and are functioning properly.
