Fernandes “The Function” ST-45C MIJ Electric Guitar Blue Burst Flame Top w/ Fernandes Hard Case

Up for sale is a really cool vintage MIJ Fernandes “The Function” HSS ST-45C electric guitar in a killer translucent blue burst finish. We have not been able to determine the exact Fernandes catalog model designation, but this appears to be an original Made in Japan Fernandes model from 92-93.

This one has a lot going for it visually and structurally. The translucent blue burst finish over the figured wood grain gives it a very high-end look compared to many Fernandes models from the era. It features Fernandes branded pickups, Fernandes branded tremolo bridge, Gotoh tuners, rosewood fingerboard, and includes the original Fernandes hard case.

Just cleaned, restrung and professionally set up here at the shop with low action. Plays comfortably up and down the neck.

The HSS pickup configuration makes this a super versatile guitar with everything from classic strat-style cleans to thicker bridge humbucker tones. Definitely has that great Japanese super strat vibe.

Cosmetically, the guitar shows normal vintage wear throughout including scratches, dings, edge wear, finish imperfections, and general signs of age and use. There are some visible marks and finish wear on the body and neck as shown in the photos, but overall it presents very well for its age.

Includes 70s Fernandes hard case.
