1977 Greco Super Sounds Black S-Style Electric Guitar Made in Japan
Very cool 1977 Greco Super Sounds electric guitar made in Japan.
The J781568 serial number dates this one to October 1977. These early Super Sounds models were built during Greco’s classic Fujigen era and are becoming increasingly collectible, especially examples with the earlier “Brazen Picker Professional” branding.
Just cleaned, restrung and professionally set up here at Japanese Guitar Company. Currently playing great with low action and an easy feel up and down the neck.
This guitar is in very good overall condition for its age. There are various dings, scratches, finish marks and normal cosmetic wear throughout, but nothing that negatively affects the functionality or playability of the guitar. The frets remain in good shape with plenty of life left.
The tremolo cavity cover on the back is missing, as shown in the photos.
The three single-coil pickups are controlled by the master volume, two tone controls and five-way selector switch. The additional toggle switches appear to provide expanded pickup switching options beyond the standard five-way configuration.
A great-looking late-1970s Greco with a black finish, aged white plastics and maple neck.
