1988 Yamaha RGZ II-M HSH Black Made in Japan

Made in Japan in 1988, this Yamaha RGZ II-M is a late-1980s superstrat loaded with features built for fast, versatile playing. The RGZ II-M pairs a sleek contoured body with a 24-fret maple fingerboard, HSH pickup configuration, locking tremolo system, black hardware, and Yamaha’s Super Playability Joint System for improved access to the upper frets.

The HSH pickup configuration provides plenty of versatility, ranging from clear single-coil-style tones to the fuller and more aggressive sound of the neck and bridge humbuckers. Controls include a master volume, master tone, five-way pickup selector, and mini-toggle switch.

This guitar was just cleaned, restrung, and professionally set up with low action. It plays nicely and is ready to go.

Overall, the guitar is in Very Good condition for its age. There is normal cosmetic play wear throughout, including light scratches, small marks, and signs of use visible under direct lighting. The maple fingerboard has noticeable wear and discoloration, particularly throughout the lower-fret area. The frets show only light wear overall and still have plenty of life remaining.

The guitar is structurally solid, the electronics work properly, and the locking tremolo system is functioning as intended.
