Nida Turkish Baglama Saz Long Neck Folk Lute w/ Gig Bag
Up for sale is a Nida-branded Turkish baglama (saz), a traditional long-neck folk lute widely used throughout Turkey and the Middle East.
This instrument features the classic tear-drop bowl body, tied movable frets, wooden friction tuning pegs, and a spruce top with decorative burned-in ornamentation. The body is finished in a distinctive shaded sunburst style and includes the original soft gig bag.
The baglama is known for its bright, expressive voice and is a cornerstone of Turkish folk music. Its tied fret design allows for the microtonal intervals required in traditional Turkish and Middle Eastern music, making it a fascinating instrument for both players and collectors.
We recently cleaned the instrument and it remains in good overall playing condition.
Condition is good overall with cosmetic wear consistent with use. There are scattered scratches, finish wear, and edge dings throughout the instrument. One of the tuning pegs appears to be a replacement and differs slightly from the others. Please review all photos carefully for complete cosmetic condition.
Includes the original gig bag.
