1993 Squier Silver Series Jazz Bass MIJ 3-Tone Sunburst Fujigen Japan

Up for sale is a 1993 Squier Silver Series Jazz Bass finished in a classic 3-Tone Sunburst.

Built in Japan during the highly regarded Silver Series era, this bass was produced at the Fujigen factory and represents one of the finest periods of Squier production. These instruments have developed an excellent reputation for their build quality, comfortable necks, and classic Jazz Bass tone, with many players considering them among the best Squiers ever made.

We recently cleaned, restrung, and professionally set the bass up here at the shop. It plays great with comfortable action, smooth feel, and electronics that function exactly as they should.

Overall condition is good. The finish shows numerous scratches, dings, and signs of honest playwear consistent with years of use, but nothing that affects functionality. The frets remain in great shape with plenty of life remaining.

The only noteworthy structural issue is on the rear of the neck where the walnut skunk stripe has sustained damage at some point in its life. As shown in the photos, there is a slight gap between the skunk stripe and the maple neck, and the repair is not perfectly flush, so it can be felt while playing. That said, the area is completely solid with no movement, and we found no concerns regarding stability during setup.

This is an excellent opportunity to own a sought-after Japanese-built Silver Series Jazz Bass that delivers the feel and quality these Fujigen instruments are known for.
