Suzuki Kohaku Alto CHK-3 Electric Taishogoto 2005 Deep Bass Nagoya Harp

This professional Suzuki Kohaku Alto model CHK-3 electric taishogoto brings a rich, deep-voiced sonic palette to the modern acoustic-electric Japanese keyboard zither family. Tuned a full octave lower than traditional soprano models, this elite alto variant features an extended twenty-eight-point-thirty-five inch playing scale and a contoured solid body dressed in a beautiful translucent amber lacquer finish. Equipped with gold-plated enclosed machine heads, an active 9V electronic pickup array, and dedicated side-mounted volume and tone controls, this 27-key typewriter-action instrument provides modern sound designers and experimentalists with an unmatched foundation for deep string textures and cinematic bass drones.

As a premium performance import curated directly for our shop, this piece is in very good overall cosmetic and mechanical shape, featuring an incredibly smooth key response across the entire low register. The amber finish retains a beautiful gloss, showing honest signs of age-appropriate handling, a few minor light surface scuffs, and some superficial sticky tape residue on the top edge that is completely stable and purely cosmetic. The active electronic preamp assembly has been thoroughly bench-tested to guarantee a powerful, noise-free output signal through the rear-mounted quarter-inch output jack, and all premium gold hardware elements function with absolute precision.

Purchasing this rare alto performance zither from our physical inventory means you bypass the classic headaches of international customs delays, unpredictable import tariff conversions, and risky transoceanic shipping. Our workshop has completely cleaned the internal pot tracks, detailed the body wood, checked the structural integrity, and fully prepped this instrument for immediate playability. The instrument comes safely housed inside its custom fitted hardshell briefcase with secure latching hardware.
