Suzuki Ran Type II Soprano Electric Taishogoto Gloss Black Japanese Nagoya Harp

This vintage Suzuki Ran Type II soprano electric taishogoto brings a sleek, modern aesthetic and enhanced electronic features to the traditional Japanese keyboard zither platform. Finished in a gorgeous gloss black lacquer, this professional-grade five-string instrument features a 27-key typewriter-style action spanning across a fast 20-inch scale string configuration. Crafted in Japan by Suzuki, the Ran Type II is highly sought after by multi-instrumentalists and modern drone or ambient composers due to its solid-body design, built-in electronic tuner layout, and independent volume and tone-shaping controls that interface flawlessly with amplifiers and guitar effects processors.

As a premium vintage import curated directly for our shop, this piece shows very minor cosmetic surface wear, a few tiny finish swirls, and light cleaning marks on the black pickguard assembly consistent with careful handling over the years. These superficial marks are entirely cosmetic and do not affect the superb resonance, structural alignment, or performance of the piece. The typewriter action is exceptionally responsive across every register, the onboard battery-powered tuner functions precisely, and our shop has fully tested the dual preamp control pots to guarantee a clean, powerful output signal.

Purchasing this rare instrument from our physical inventory means you bypass the classic headaches of international customs delays, unpredictable import tariff conversions, and risky transoceanic shipping. Our workshop has completely cleaned the key contacts, checked the structural integrity, and fully prepped this piece for immediate playability. The instrument ships complete with its matching fitted vintage hard storage case, functional latching key, and a premium traditional pick holder accessory mounted directly to the deck.
