Tokai Love Rock LS-70 1994 - Quilted Top Cherry Sunburst Japan

This 1994 Tokai Love Rock LS-70 is a beautiful Japanese-made single-cut electric guitar featuring a highly figured quilted maple top in a classic Cherry Sunburst finish.

The LS-70 was one of Tokai’s upgraded Love Rock models of the period, pairing its traditional set-neck construction with a carved maple top, quilted maple figuring, cream body and neck binding, trapezoid fretboard inlays, vintage-style tuners, and classic four-control layout.

This guitar has just been cleaned, restrung, and professionally set up with low action. It plays comfortably and all electronics are working as they should.

The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a Seymour Duncan humbucker.

The guitar is in good overall condition and shows considerable cosmetic wear from years of use. There are numerous scratches, finish chips, dings, and areas of finish loss throughout the body, including a more noticeable area of wear on the top between the pickups and several larger areas on the back. Additional wear is present around the body edges and headstock. The aged hardware and plastics complement the naturally played-in appearance.

The frets show mostly light wear with some more visible wear in portions of the fretboard, but the guitar continues to play nicely following its recent setup. Structurally, the guitar is in great shape with no breaks or major structural repairs noted.
