Yamaha FG-160 Nippon Gakki MIJ Acoustic Guitar w/ Hard Case

Very nice vintage Yamaha FG-160 made in Japan by Nippon Gakki.

These early FG-series guitars have developed a strong following over the years thanks to their excellent build quality, warm balanced tone, and reliability. This one has just been cleaned, restrung, and professionally set up here at Japanese Guitar Company, and it's playing great with comfortable action and an easy feel up and down the neck.

Overall, the guitar is in very good condition for its age. The frets show only minimal wear and have plenty of life remaining. Cosmetically there are a handful of small dings, scratches, and finish marks from normal use over the years, including a few small marks on the sides and a couple of minor impressions on the top as shown in the photos, but nothing structural or anything that affects playability.

The laminate spruce top and mahogany body produce the classic vintage Yamaha sound—clear, articulate, and surprisingly full with excellent projection.
