Yamaha GC-5 1981 Classical Guitar w/ Original Case – Japan

Beautiful vintage Yamaha Grand Concert GC-5 classical guitar built in Japan in 1981. Just cleaned, restrung and professionally set up here at Copper Chord Music with really comfortable action and excellent playability.

This is a higher-end Japanese-made nylon string from Yamaha’s respected Grand Concert series, featuring a solid cedar top with gorgeous rosewood back and sides. Warm, rich tone with great clarity and separation — exactly what you’d hope for from an older Japanese classical.

Cosmetically, this guitar shows a good amount of honest age and play wear throughout the body, including scratches, dings and finish marks from decades of use. Nothing structural that causes concern. Neck is straight, frets are in great shape, and the guitar plays nicely up and down the neck.

Includes the original hard case.

A really cool vintage Japanese classical that sounds every bit as good as it looks.
