1982 Yamaha SG1000 Cherry Sunburst (CS) – Made in Japan

An early '80s Yamaha SG1000 from the highly regarded Nippon Gakki era. These guitars have earned an outstanding reputation for their exceptional build quality, sustain, and craftsmanship, and continue to become more sought after as players discover just how good they are.

Overall, this guitar is in good condition with normal cosmetic wear you'd expect from a 40+ year old instrument. There are dings, scratches, finish wear, and some oxidation to the gold hardware, but nothing out of the ordinary for its age. It is structurally sound and has no cracks, breaks, or repairs.

The frets show moderate wear but still have plenty of life remaining and play cleanly without any issues affecting performance.

The electronics function exactly as they should, and the original Yamaha humbuckers deliver the thick, articulate tone these SGs are known for. This is an excellent example of one of Yamaha's flagship models from the golden era of Japanese guitar production.

Some chips out of the finish, especially on the neck as seen in the above photos.
