2016 Fender Japan Exclusive Classic 60s Stratocaster - Sienna Sunburst

A beautiful and relatively uncommon 2016 Fender Japan Exclusive Classic ’60s Stratocaster, finished in Sienna Sunburst with a rosewood fingerboard.

The Japan Exclusive Classic series followed Fender Japan's long-running vintage reissue line and carried the familiar early-'60s Strat formula forward under Fender's post-2015 Japanese production lineup. This particular Sienna Sunburst version is a less commonly encountered finish, with the transparent amber center allowing plenty of body grain to show through beneath the deep red outer burst. Comparable documented 2016 examples confirm the same Sienna Sunburst configuration.

These Japan Exclusive Classic ’60s models used the traditional 7.25" radius and vintage-style fretwork rather than the more modernized specifications found on many of Fender Japan's later Traditional and Hybrid instruments. Contemporary examples also document the original Japanese single coils and vintage-style hardware used in this model.

This guitar has just been cleaned, restrung and set up and is ready to go. It plays exceptionally well with a comfortable low setup.

Condition is Excellent. There is virtually no visible fret wear and very little evidence that the guitar has been played at all. The primary cosmetic flaw is one small ding on the front of the body, along with a handful of extremely minor marks that are difficult to notice without close inspection. The finish remains glossy and vibrant, the neck is exceptionally clean, and the rosewood fingerboard is in excellent shape.

The Sienna Sunburst is especially attractive on this example, with a strongly visible grain pattern across both the front and back and a warm red outer burst that looks considerably different from the more common 3-Color Sunburst version.
