2024 Fender Japan Hybrid II Jazz Bass FMT Flame Celeste Blue Limited Edition

A particularly striking example of Fender Japan's limited-production 2024 Collection Hybrid II Jazz Bass, finished in Flame Celeste Blue.

This was one of the standout finishes from Fender Japan's 2024 Collection and is not your typical Hybrid II Jazz Bass. The alder body is topped with figured flame maple and finished in a translucent Celeste Blue, allowing the figuring underneath to remain visible. The result is an incredibly photogenic bass that changes quite a bit depending on the lighting and viewing angle.

These were produced for the 2024 Collection only, and the Flame Celeste Blue version appears to be especially difficult to find outside of Japan. It's a great combination of the build quality Fender Japan is known for with a finish that really separates it from the standard-production Hybrid II models.

Beyond the looks, the Hybrid II series is an excellent player's bass. It features a maple Modern "C" neck with a satin-finished back, 9.5" fingerboard radius and narrow-tall frets, along with Fender's Hybrid II Custom Voiced single-coil pickups. Fender also fitted these with a vintage-style four-saddle bridge with a sustain block underneath.

This example is in Excellent condition and has clearly seen very little use. There is almost no visible fret wear, and the body, neck and hardware remain exceptionally clean.

We have just cleaned it, restrung it and given it a full setup. It is playing great and is ready to go.
