Morris MD-505 Vintage MIJ Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar w/ Hard Case

Built during the golden age of Japanese acoustic guitar production, this Morris MD-505 is a fantastic example of why Morris earned such a strong reputation among players and collectors alike. Inspired by the classic American dreadnought formula, the MD-505 delivers the balanced tone, excellent craftsmanship, and reliability that made Morris one of Japan's most respected acoustic builders.

The guitar features a beautifully aged natural finish over a spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides. Decades of natural aging have helped this guitar develop a warm, open voice with excellent clarity and projection. Chords ring with impressive balance while single-note lines remain articulate and focused.

This example has just been cleaned, restrung, and professionally set up. It plays comfortably up and down the neck with excellent action and is ready for its next owner.

Cosmetically, the guitar remains in very good condition. There is normal play wear throughout, including some light surface scratches, small dings, and a few minor finish marks consistent with a vintage instrument that has been enjoyed over the years. The small finish chip on the headstock edge and light marks on the sides are purely cosmetic. Overall, it presents extremely well for its age.

The wood grain on the mahogany back and sides is particularly attractive and gives the guitar a classic vintage look that has become increasingly difficult to find in this price range.
