This vintage S. Yairi YD-304 dreadnought acoustic guitar represents the absolute peak of handmade Japanese luthiery from the golden era of the Nagoya workshops. Masterfully constructed under the direction of Sadao Yairi, this premium model features a resonant solid spruce top paired with an exquisite three-piece back showcasing rich Jacaranda outer panels separated by a highly figured flamed maple center wedge. Highly revered for its immense volume, balanced overtones, and piano-like projection, the YD-304 remains a legendary design that delivers the premium tone and majestic styling of a historic boutique dreadnought.

As a premium vintage instrument curated directly for our shop, this piece carries a beautiful player aura alongside a couple of completely stable cosmetic hallmarks common to 1970s Japanese lacquer formulas. The back and sides display localized finish clouding beneath the clear coat, and there is a tight, narrow hairline check along the wood grain on the lower bout of the spruce top. This minor top line is completely stable, has not split or separated, and has absolutely no impact on the structural integrity or magnificent acoustic voice of the guitar. The original frets show light, uniform wear with plenty of life remaining, the neck profile feels exceptional, and our workshop has verified the action is beautifully set at a comfortable one-tenth of an inch on the bass side and point-zero-six inches on the treble side at the twelfth fret.

Purchasing this rare acoustic cannon from our physical inventory means you bypass the classic headaches of international customs delays, unpredictable import tariff conversions, and risky transoceanic shipping. Our workshop has completely inspected the bridge seat, hydrated the premium timbers, polished the frets, and fully detailed this incredible instrument to ensure immediate playability right out of the box. The guitar comes safely housed inside its vintage plush-lined hardshell storage case with functional latches.
