Suzuki Ran Type II Electric Taishogoto Cherry Red Sunburst 1994

This iconic Japanese stringed instrument brings beautiful acoustic-electric versatility directly to our Huntington inventory. Finished in a deep candy cherry red over its sleek body, this soprano model features a compact twenty-inch vibrating string scale range with twenty-seven typewriter-style lever keys. The mechanism responds smoothly across the registers, giving players an intimate, fast touch that translates beautifully when running the internal pickup straight into an amplifier or your favorite processing pedals.

The instrument is in remarkably clean cosmetic condition, displaying only light surface pick swirling on the black faceplate and a couple of minor scuff marks on the rear wooden casing from normal tabletop use. We note that the fifth string slot is currently missing its bass string, which can easily be replaced by the player, but the remaining treble and drone strings tune up perfectly and hold pitch tightly. The factory-installed electronics remain fully operational, with the top-mounted volume dial and tone toggle offering clean, static-free adjustments.

Every import we curate undergoes a complete structural evaluation in our Indiana shop to ensure immediate plug-and-play enjoyment upon arrival. We have cleaned the key action, lubricated the mechanical tuning pegs, and treated the electronics for absolute reliability on stage or in the studio. By purchasing through our storefront, you skip all long-distance shipping variables, foreign import processing, and unserviced risks, receiving a highly stable piece ready for your creative setup.
