1960s Teisco EP-18 Triple Pickup Hollowbody Japan Vintage Electric Guitar Natural

Very rare vintage Teisco EP-18 made in Japan.

Most examples of the EP-18 you come across are the two pickup versions, but this is the much harder-to-find triple pickup model loaded with three original chrome-covered pickups and Teisco’s wonderfully bizarre switching system.

Fully restored and everything functions properly.

The electronics on these are a little quirky compared to modern guitars. While it may initially appear that each switch simply turns an individual pickup on and off, the switching actually creates different pickup combinations depending on the selector configuration. Very cool vintage Japanese engineering that gives this guitar a surprisingly wide tonal range.

Just cleaned, restrung, and professionally set up here at Japanese Guitar Company. Plays well with comfortable action and a ton of vintage vibe.

Cosmetically, this guitar shows honest age and wear throughout exactly like you'd hope to see on a real 1960s Japanese hollowbody. Plenty of scratches, finish wear, dings, and checking from decades of use. The back especially shows heavier cosmetic wear from years of play, but nothing structural.

Original Teisco badge remains intact on both the headstock and rear model plate.

These early Japanese hollowbodies have become increasingly collectible over the last several years, and the triple pickup EP-18 models are far less common than the standard two pickup variants.

Includes the pictured vintage gig bag.
