Yamaha FG-130 Nippon Gakki Made in Japan Acoustic Guitar w/ Chipboard Case

Very cool vintage Yamaha FG-130 acoustic guitar made in Japan by Nippon Gakki.

These older Japanese Yamaha acoustics have earned a strong reputation for their sturdy construction, warm vintage tone, and impressive sound for the money. The FG-130 has a comfortable, slightly smaller folk-style body that is easier to handle than a full-size dreadnought while still producing a surprisingly full and lively sound.

Just cleaned, restrung, and ready to go. The guitar plays nicely overall, with the action currently measuring approximately .130" on the bass side and .100" on the treble side at the 12th fret. This is moderately high by modern standards but still within a playable range for many acoustic players, especially those who prefer a firmer traditional acoustic setup.

The guitar is in good overall condition for its age and shows plenty of normal cosmetic wear from decades of use. There are numerous scratches, small dings, scuffs, finish wear, and minor chips throughout the body and neck. The back of the neck has several noticeable scratches and worn areas, and there is additional wear around the body edges and sides. Nothing seen appears unusual for a well-played vintage acoustic, and the wear gives the guitar plenty of vintage character.

The frets show some normal wear but still appear to have usable life remaining. The original Yamaha-branded tuners are present and working properly.
